UK orders

All UK orders are sent by Royal Mail on a tracked service, either Tracked 24 or Tracked 48 depending on despatch. Both are fully tracked to the delivery point.

You will receive a despatch notification with your tracking number as soon as your book is on its way. Tracked 24 aims to deliver the next working day and Tracked 48 within two to three working days, in both cases from the date of despatch rather than the date of order.

Orders of up to three books are posted in a single box measuring 325mm x 260mm x 92mm. That is far too deep for a standard letterbox, so if nobody is in when it arrives the delivery officer should leave a card telling you where your item is.

International orders

All orders outside the United Kingdom are sent by Royal Mail International Tracked, which is tracked to the delivery point with online delivery confirmation.

Royal Mail delivery aims from the date of despatch are:

• Europe: 3 to 5 working days
• Rest of the world: 5 to 7 working days

Delivery costs

Delivery is calculated at checkout. The cost depends on where your book is going, and the rate is quoted at the time you order, so you will always see the exact figure before you pay.

Up to three books fit in one box, so an order of three or fewer arrives as a single parcel. Larger orders are split across more than one box, and the delivery quoted at checkout reflects that.

Taxes and duties on orders outside the UK

Printed books are zero-rated for VAT in the United Kingdom, so there is no UK VAT on your order.

That is a UK exemption and it does not travel with the parcel. Once your book leaves the United Kingdom it becomes an import into your own country, and your country's rules apply instead of ours.

Orders are sent on a delivered duty unpaid basis. Any import VAT, sales tax, customs duty or carrier handling fee raised by the destination country is payable by you and is not included in the price of the book or the postage you pay at checkout. These charges are normally collected by the delivery carrier before or on delivery.

Rates and thresholds vary by country and change often, so we cannot tell you in advance what you may be asked to pay. Two examples, correct as at July 2026:

• European Union: import VAT is due on all goods regardless of their value. Many member states apply a reduced rate of VAT to books.
• United States: the $800 duty-free allowance for low value imports was withdrawn on 29 August 2025, so duty may now be charged on parcels that would previously have arrived free of charge.

If something goes wrong

If your book has not arrived within the timescales above, email info@morganbook.co.uk with your order number and we will look into it.

If it arrives damaged, email us photographs of the item and the packaging so we can take it up with Royal Mail, and we will arrange a replacement copy.

If a parcel is refused or returned to us because import charges were not paid, we can refund the price of the book but not the postage.
